Panasonic Expands AutoCare Washing Machine Range with Two New Models for Intelligent Washing Made Simple

Press Releases   •   Sep 02, 2015 14:48 BST

Panasonic today announces the expansion of its AutoCare line-up with two new models with intelligent washing capabilities, the NA-140ZS1 and the NA-168ZS1. The new models are an extension of Panasonic’s AutoCare range, the industry’s most advanced automatic wash programme.

Smart sensor technology creates an energy efficient wash programme

Unique to Panasonic AutoCare models, this intelligent sensor technology features a detergent detector function which modifies the amount of washing and rinsing required depending on the type of detergent used.

The need for manual, and often inaccurate, programming is removed with ‘ECONAVI’, Panasonic’s intelligent four sensor system which lies at the heart of the AutoCare function. By selecting the AutoCare setting this activates the four sensors, ensuring easy-to-operate laundry care tailored to the unique requirements of each load:

1.Load Sensor: Adjusts the volume of water and calculates the washing time required for the cycle depending on the size of the load, efficiently managing water consumption and energy use.

2.Temperature Sensor: Monitors the actual temperature of the supplied water and reduces the energy inputted to heat the water accordingly, while automatically adjusting the length of the wash cycle.

3.Optical Sensor: In addition to detecting the type of detergent, this sensordetermines the levels of dirt within the load using infrared ray technology and adjusts washing time, temperature setting, water levels and the appropriate number of rinse cycles accordingly.

4.Material Sensor: Synthetic materials require a shorter spin time than cottons. The proportion of cottons and synthetics are detected via the water weight held within the fabric and the optimum spin time is applied.

The two new washing machine models have been awarded an A+++[1] (-35% /

-40%) rating, so you can be sure of outstanding energy efficiency and lower household bills.

Intelligent technology to beat tough stains

The new AutoCare models also incorporate StainMaster technology, the latest innovative and intelligent feature from Panasonic, which allows individual washes to be programmed to tackle even the most stubborn stains.

Panasonic’s unique StainMaster technology makes it easy to tackle tough stains by removing the need to rub or pre-treat stained clothing. By selecting one of the 23 different stain type options – including everyday stains such as mud, makeup, and red wine – the machine will automatically combine the optimum temperature, mechanical power and soaking power to ensure clothes become spotlessly clean and refreshed. Each wash is automatically tailored to tackle specific types of stains, ensuring optimal energy efficiency and perfect laundry results every time.

SteamAction: Wrinkle reduction, freshening up without washing, and allergen removal

Panasonic’s SteamAction technology relieves the chore of ironing – while refreshing clothing and removing allergens – by injecting steam into the fibres of clothing fabric during the wash-cycle.

Innovative design ensures intuitive washing

Panasonic’s Sazanami washing machine drum means “gentle wave” in Japanese, and features an interior with dimple-shaped water spouts, preventing clothes from catching or tearing during the washing cycle.

Meanwhile, the WashNavi display system permits easy navigation of all the washing machine’s programmes, functions and indicators.
