Panasonic Unveils Improved Sound Technology with the Launch of latest Sound Bars and a new Sound Bar Concept

Press Release   •  Feb 15, 2017 13:32 GMT

The HTB488

Panasonic has today unveiled a new Sound Bar and a next-generation Sound Bar concept to add to its speaker line-up. With improved sound quality, the SC-HTB488 speaker system and the SC-SB1 Sound Bar concept will fill your living room with stunningly clear, rich and rounded sound, which is stronger and more immersive than standard TV speakers can deliver. The Sound Bar has been developed to bring a dynamic theatre-audio experience to your living room through a sleek, stylish speaker.

Panasonic has years of experience in audio technology and speaker design, which is reflected in the new devices, allowing you to get the most out of any audio source. The SC-HTB488 speaker systems allow you to connect to the subwoofer via a wireless connection (SC-SB1 has a built-in subwoofer in the main unit), giving you an optimised, cinema-like sound to enhance your viewing pleasure. Bluetooth® Wireless Technology is also integrated so you can enjoy music from your smartphone or tablet. Whether you’re using your tablet to listen to internet radio, or your smartphone to listen to your favourite music or podcasts, the new Sound Bar and Sound Bar concept are ready to be paired with any Bluetooth device.

Sound Bars are the perfect match for your TV

When combined with a Panasonic TV, the new Sound Bar is the perfect addition to create the sense of having your own cinema at home.

The elegant and compact bar has been designed to effortlessly complement your TV, particularly the models with larger screens, such as the EX600. Since the Sound Bar can be positioned in front of the TV, it's extremely easy to add sound to enhance your entertainment experience.

The SC-HTB488 features two independent speakers and 200W total output power and both bars allow for an AUX connection. The speaker found in the new device has been designed to adapt to clear, high-fidelity music playback.

The compact design of the new Sound Bar allows for a clutter-free living space, regardless of whether your TV is wall-mounted or free-standing. If your TV is free-standing, the Sound Bar fit neatly beneath the TV without obscuring your view thanks to their slim and stylish profile.

Sound Bar concept delivers powerful integration with home entertainment systems

Offering dynamic sound in a compact design, the SC-SB1 Sound Bar concept easily connects to other units via HDMI and 4K pass-through to provide the user with a seamlessly integrated, pure and powerful sound quality experience. Connection to a 4K UHD Blu-Ray Player and flat screen TV, for example, creates a complete home entertainment system to immerse the individual in movies from the comfort of their home.

The SC-SB1 provides 40W total power generated via 3-way speakers, and a strong bass sound is delivered via a slit at the front of the device. At just 43cm x 5cm x 12cm in size, it’s a compact solution for the living room. It offers a pure and powerful sound to enhance your TV and Blu-Ray player, or tablet and smartphone devices for playback.
