From today Freeview Play will be available to enjoy on a range of new Panasonic VIERA TVs

Panasonic is pleased to announce, as the official launch partner, from today Freeview Play will be available to enjoy on a range of new VIERA TVs offering viewers the chance to catch up on their favourite Freeview shows quickly and easily.

For those customers that already own an internet-connected VIERA models with ‘Freeview Play inside’, they will be able to perform a manual software upgrade via the settings menu ( Menu > Network > Software Update), software version 3.218 is the latest version and this will enable Freeview Play.

This upgrade will update the TV software, making Freeview Play available from the TV guide as well as the Freeview Play home page. Catch-up services including BBC iPlayer, ITV Player and All 4 will be directly available to consumers through one integrated service.

Freeview Play will not only be available on Panasonic TVs but also on new HDD Recorders and Blu-Ray players from November 2015.
