Panasonic is pleased to welcome travel/documentary photographer, Mitchell Kanashkevich to the LUMIX Ambassador programme.
Along with his fellow ambassadors Mitchell will be helping to inspire avid photographers and videographers to benefit from all the functions and features of Panasonic’s LUMIX range of cameras.
When asked about the advantages of LUMIX cameras he said, "LUMIX cameras have opened up countless possibilities for my photography. I can shoot in places and in situations where I would’ve never even tried before.
Very importantly, the cameras are light-weight. I can take them with me all the time and have all that power, all those features anywhere. "
Mitchell describes himself as 'a tirelessly curious world wanderer and a travel/documentary photographer.' whose main interest is in people, 'I’m especially fascinated by surviving, evolving ancient traditions. People working in unique, challenging conditions and those who live in close bond with nature.
The stories I’m drawn to are generally those that I come across on the road, by chance. They’re outside of what the mass media generally shows us about our planet. I want my images to provide just a tiny bit of a window into those worlds, those lives which don’t get much, if any coverage.’
His range of subjects is fairly broad, but whether he's photographing nomadic shepherds in India, life in the last traditional villages of Eastern Europe or sulfur miners working in a volcanic crater, he has one common aim which is always the same – to capture the human element.
Mitchell's latest inspiring images can be found here where you'll also be able to see which LUMIX camera and lens was used, the exposure, ISO speed and aperture.
