Panasonic LUMIX continues to support independent filmmakers alongside Raindance Film Festival

Panasonic LUMIX is delighted to continue its support for independent filmmaking talent as the main partner of the 27th Raindance Film Festival for the second year running.

As part of its support, LUMIX is providing Raindance Film School with its recently launched LUMIX S1H filmmaking cameras and a range of lenses to give the young filmmakers of tomorrow cutting-edge tools to match their creativity.

Mike Owen, Professional Imaging Marketing Manager, from Panasonic UK said: “LUMIX has been working hard to inspire the young filmmaker, excite the commercial filmmaker, open the door for documentary storytellers through products that are designed to breakdown the traditional barriers and allow more people to bring their stories to life. We hope through our continued partnership with Raindance we can continue to facilitate and support creative filmmaking talent in this generation and the next one.

Elliot Grove, founder of Raindance said: “The Raindance voyage of discovery continues thanks to the support of LUMIX. We expect even more breakout films and filmmakers next year as a result of this partnership and the provision of their tools which make visual storytelling even better and easier.

The official 27th Raindance Film Festival trailer, a story set in a dystopian London torn apart by no deal Brexit in 2023 where only one fragment of civilisation remains – the 2023 Raindance Film Festival - was also shot entirely on the LUMIX S1 camera by DP Zoran Veljkovic.
